Power Utility Distribution Designer - Mi-Tech Services, Inc.

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Power Utility Distribution Designer to join our team. The successful candidate will demonstrate an advanced understanding of power distribution and the scopes of work that are associated with the field. This individual will be responsible for fielding and designing the work for the customer.

Responsibilities

• Field and design work for customers in power utility distribution.
• Apply advanced understanding of power distribution scopes to project tasks.

Requirements

• 2+ years of hands‑on electric utility distribution experience involving overhead and/or underground systems (experience in both preferred but not required).
• Experience with GE Smallworld, SAP, or similar utility design and work management systems preferred.
• Strong communication and customer interaction skills.
• Able to work effectively as part of a team while being self‑motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.

Schedule

• Approximately 50% fieldwork and 50% office‑based work.
• Field assignments are generally within the employee’s local geographic territory with minimal overnight travel.
• Occasional overnight stays may be required.
• On non‑field days, work location (company office or home office) depends on the employee’s geographic location.
