Power Plant SME - Electrical Engineer

For our client, we are seeking a Power Plant SME - Electrical Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Technical Services space. This role will support electrical engineering efforts tied to power generation assets, with a focus on design, interconnection, and operational review. The position will partner closely with clients and internal project teams to assess project status, present findings, and strengthen long-term relationships. It also includes a business development component, helping expand opportunities while contributing technical expertise across wind, solar, thermal, and other generation technologies. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in electrical systems and a strong client-facing presence in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $131,300 – $237,350 annually Responsibilities Perform electrical design and interconnection reviews for projects Attend project meetings to confirm construction and operational status Manage client engagements and relationships across various sectors Present findings and results to client executives Conduct business development activities with internal teams and clients Support project teams, working independently and collaboratively Develop and expand key client relationships Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required 8+ years of experience in electrical operation, maintenance, and/or design Knowledge of AC and DC electrical systems, controls, and protection relaying Familiarity with power generation technologies including wind, solar, and thermal generation Professional Engineering (PE) licensure is preferred Proven ability to maintain client relations and work collaboratively Benefits Fully remote work option within the United States Opportunities for career development and growth Collaborative and fast-paced team environment Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
