POWER PLANT MECHANIC

About the role

This position is located at a hydro-electric generating facility that includes hydropower, navigation, fish passage and recreational activities. This is a Logistics Career Field position. Multiple positions may be filled from this announcement.

Responsibilities

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for certain competitive service positions to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

Requirements

• Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
• Proof of U.S. Citizenship required.
• One year trial/probationary period may be required.
• Direct Deposit of Pay is required.
• Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees.

Pay

• Salary includes applicable locality pay or Local Market Supplement.
• Position is covered by the NWD Regional Power Rate Schedule: TC-I.
