Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Ensure safe work practices in accordance with OSHA, NFPA, state and local codes, and Strata Solar Services safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain day-to-day operation of utility-scale PV power generation plants using DAS, SCADA and CMMS systems.
- Assign and oversee scheduled and unscheduled plant maintenance activities for the assigned region.
- Monitor and confirm compliance with warranty and SSS contract obligations in the assigned region.
- Analyze inspection and testing data provided by field personnel and ensure its timely submission to the Operations Support Center.
- Participate in system design reviews, scope of work reviews, and legal contract reviews for newly assigned projects.
- Manage regional plant maintenance budget, inventory, purchasing, and invoices.
- Perform acceptance inspections on newly assigned power generation plants and generate acceptance reports.
- Aid in developing regional staffing plans for plant maintenance operations.
- Aid in employee training and professional development.
- Assist with or lead interdepartmental maintenance operations as needed.
Environmental Responsibilities
- Participate in the environmental compliance program.
- Maintain administrative records of regulated hazardous and non-hazardous waste.
- Conduct routine inspections and support emergency response operations.
- Maintain compliance with Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
Education And/or Work Experience Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED, or Equivalent.
- Minimum five (5) years’ experience working directly on energized industrial AC and DC systems, with at least two of those years on PV power generation systems or similar systems.
- Minimum three (3) years’ experience supervising electrical work with primary responsibility for electrical safety and process adherence.
- Strong knowledge of electrical theory & PV power generating system fundamentals.
- Aptitude for learning and understanding operation of various testing equipment, tools, and procedures utilized in the maintenance of PV power generation systems.
- Ability to collaborate and coordinate well with peer Technicians and other personnel, vendors, and subcontractors.
- Ability to lead field team.
- Proficiency with MS Office applications to include MS Word and Excel, as well as an ability to learn new computer programs without difficulty.
- Ability to operate in a professional workmanlike manner consistent with the organization’s policies, procedures, and vision.
- Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
Physical Requirements/Work Environment
- Able to work in an outdoor environment for extended periods of time.
- Able to travel for extended durations to remote project sites.
- Able to stoop, kneel, or bend.
- Able to lift, push, or pull 50 lbs. overhead repeatedly.
- 20/40 vision in each eye, with or without correction, and ability to distinguish colors.
- Able to wear full complement of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Able to travel, work on-call during off-shift hours, and weekends.
