Job Description Summary

The Pump & Power Technician 2 at Sunbelt Rentals is responsible for performing basic diagnostics and equipment repairs in the safest and most effective way possible, with an emphasis on returning equipment to service to avoid downtime. The role requires a combination of technical skills and physical abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic diagnostics and repairs on pump and power equipment
• Ensure equipment is returned to service quickly to minimize downtime
• Leverage existing skills in a challenging role
• Work with a team of experienced professionals

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience with repairing and maintaining pump and power equipment
• EPA Section 608 Universal Certification required
• Basic understanding of refrigeration, electrical engines and controllers, dehumidification equipment, compressed air treatment, generators, power distribution, A/C, heaters, and shoring
• Ability to read electric schematics and hydraulic flow
• Experience with similar equipment

Qualifications

• Physical demands include bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting up to 25 pounds, and working both indoors and outdoors

Pay

The starting rate of pay may vary based on factors such as position offered, location, education, training, and experience. The base pay range for this role is $32.00 to $39.00 per hour, with a starting rate of $26.46 to $38.03 per hour.
