About the role

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Pump and Power Road Technician 2 to troubleshoot and diagnose complex mechanical and electrical equipment problems, perform advanced/complex repair on all types of equipment, and scope customers’ needs to provide solutions. This role may also lead and train other team members in repairing equipment in the absence of a Shop Foreman or Service Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and diagnose complex mechanical and electrical equipment problems
  • Perform advanced/complex repairs on equipment including generators, HVAC, air compressors, and refrigeration systems
  • Scope customers’ needs and provide solutions
  • Lead and train other team members in equipment repair when needed
  • Work with mechanical, electrical, and diesel equipment, including load bank repairs and dehumidification equipment
  • Understand and work with VFDs, VSDs, soft starts, and “across the line” motor starting

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of experience with repairing and maintaining Pump & Power equipment
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
  • DOT Physical Examination (Medical card)
  • EPA section 608 universal Certification required

Qualifications

  • Advanced understanding and repair of mechanical, electrical, and diesel equipment
  • Advanced understanding of refrigeration (EPA Certified)
  • Mastery of load bank repairs
  • Advanced understanding of electrical engines and controllers
  • Experience with dehumidification equipment from CDI and Munters
  • Experience with VFDs, VSDs, soft starts, and “across the line” motor starting preferred
  • Some factory diesel, generator, compressor, or HVAC training

Pay

Base Pay Range: $29.77 - $42.80 per hour. Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience.
