About the role

We are looking for a talented Power Generation Workshop Technician to join our team specializing in Power Generation in Houston, TX.

Responsibilities

  • Completing preventative maintenance and/or basic repair activities on generators or components at the customer site with minimal direction.
  • Engaging with customers in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Applying the use of specialized tools and following documented procedures and policies to diagnose and complete basic repairs, including preparing required parts and tools.
  • Completing required documentation, such as service worksheets, timesheets, warranty claims via handwritten forms or business system input screens.
  • Completing training in line with skill and business requirements.
  • Adhere to all our relevant Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and reports any issues / incidents to their supervisor.

Qualifications

  • Must have RV Genset experience, strong diagnostics, Load Banking.
  • Must have Power Gen capabilities Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues in generators of various sizes and fuel types (diesel, natural gas, propane).
  • Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, filter replacements, battery testing, and load bank testing.
  • Repair or replace defective parts such as alternators, voltage regulators, wiring, control panels, and fuel system components.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance to reduce downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
  • Troubleshooting & Diagnostics Use diagnostic tools, schematics, and technical manuals to identify root causes of equipment failures.
  • Test generator performance under load and verify proper operation after repairs.
  • Document findings, repair steps, and parts used.
  • Customer Interaction Communicate clearly with customers about repair needs, timelines, and maintenance recommendations.
  • Provide professional, courteous service and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Administrative & Reporting Complete service reports, work orders, and parts requests accurately.
  • Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and commonly used parts.
  • Follow company procedures and safety protocols.
