To support our continued growth and commitment to excellence, we are seeking a Power Generation Technical Trainer to join our Training Department at our state-of-the-art training facility in Butler, Wisconsin.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver power generation and electrical technical training at Interstate training centers in Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Montana.
- Plan and coordinate training schedules to support manufacturer certification requirements and business needs.
- Partner with internal teams and OEM manufacturers to ensure compliance with technical training standards.
- Conduct product familiarization and technical education sessions for employees and customers.
- Provide technical guidance and support to Interstate branches and service teams.
- Aid in the development, enhancement, and evaluation of training curriculum and learning materials.
- Promote a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence throughout the organization.
Requirements
- Strong leadership and presentation skills with the ability to engage and instruct groups of 20 or more participants.
- Experience developing technical training programs and measuring training effectiveness preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of power generation equipment, including generators, transfer switches, power distribution equipment, electronics, electrical systems, engine controls, and troubleshooting.
- Self-motivated professional who can work independently and effectively in a collaborative environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Qualifications
- Technical degree in Heavy Duty Engines, Power Generation, Diesel Technology, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in power generation, generators, or emergency power electrical repair and diagnostics.
- Ability to travel to training centers in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Montana, and occasional customer locations.
- Comfortable working independently, remotely, and in classroom environments.
