Power Generation Engineering Co-Op
Wisconsin Public Service Corp, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, is seeking a Power Generation Engineering Co-Op Student in our Kronenwetter, Wisconsin location. This role will start in May/June 2027 and will be full-time through the end of the fall semester.

Job Summary

Responsibilities
This program gives students the opportunity to preview the work environment in their field of study and:
- Apply classroom learning
- Combine engineering science with communications and team-building skills
- Receive hands-on experience
Engineer co-ops working at the Weston Power Plant will gain experience in plant and project engineering, as well as planning, technical support and environmental compliance activities. Students will assist in evaluating equipment and system performance, while maintaining reliability, safety and regulatory compliance. The Engineer co-op will be working in, and learning about, generation at the Weston (coal-fired) Power Plant. The Weston Power Plant is located in central Wisconsin near the city of Wausau.
Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED, or HSE
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related Engineering majors with a graduation date after July 2027
- Minimum GPA of 2.8

Pay
The hourly rate for this position is $23.10 with paid company holidays. The pay range reflects the minimum ($23.10) and maximum ($27.55) for the position at the time of posting. The starting salary/pay within the pay range will be based on several factors, including relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, shift, travel requirements, collective bargaining agreements, and business and organizational needs.
