Responsibilities
- Lead field engineering activities: walkdowns, troubleshooting, outage analysis, and construction support.
- Serve as a key stakeholder during project scoping, design, and turnover.
- Lead design, analysis, and technical development for small and medium power projects.
- Support large, complex infrastructure projects from concept through execution.
- Maintain system models, studies, relay settings, and configuration records.
- Develop and maintain standards, specifications, and engineering procedures.
- Prepare technical work statements, evaluate subcontractor bids, and recommend awards.
- Mentor junior engineers and guide cross-disciplinary teams.
- Represent Site Power with internal departments and external regulatory bodies (NERC, WECC).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering program accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) required for Civil, Mechanical and Electrical engineering;
- Or, Calculus-based STEM bachelor’s degree in engineering;
- For Architects, Certification from the National Council or Architectural Registration Board (NCARB)
- Professional Engineer license
- Plus at least 5 years’ relevant experience.
- Key qualifications include strong knowledge of NEC, NESC, NFPA 70B, NETA, IEEE codes and standards;
- Experience with complex power system projects and protection principles;
- Ability to interpret one-lines, schematics, I&C diagrams, and construction drawings;
- Field experience with high-voltage equipment and protective devices;
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Work Location and Schedule
Work location will be the Nevada National Security Site (located 65 miles northwest of Las Vegas, Nevada).
Work schedule will be 4/10s Monday through Thursday (subject to change).

Pay
Annual salary range for this position is: $101,524.80 - $152,297.60.
Starting salary is determined based on the position market value, the individual candidate education and experience and internal equity.
