Responsibilities

  • Sustain, enhance, and optimize Power BI dashboards to provide near real-time visibility into key VA Data Modernization metrics.
  • Build visualizations that support insights into utilization and adoption, cloud costs (overall and workgroup-level), top services used, and customer satisfaction metrics.
  • Translate complex data requirements into effective BI solutions aligned with operational and strategic VA goals.
  • Partner with Data Modernization teams to integrate dashboards with automated intake workflows, provisioning processes, and customer enablement metrics.
  • Ensure dashboards effectively measure progress against key deliverables such as automated provisioning, workspace readiness, white-glove support, and onboarding timelines.
  • Collaborate with data engineers to ensure seamless access to data sources such as VHA Data Lake, Databricks catalogs, and CDW datasets.
  • Maintain data model quality, accuracy, and performance, ensuring reliable and transparent reporting for stakeholders.
  • Develop documentation, SOPs, semantic models, and governance standards for dashboard development and usage.
  • Conduct data validation, troubleshoot dashboard defects, and ensure reliable stakeholder communication on updates or performance issues.
  • Provide stakeholder training, support sessions, and user enablement to promote self-service analytics and increase adoption of available dashboards.
  • Support the creation of “single front door” visualizations that guide users through onboarding, platform navigation, help desk resources, and data access processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field. (or commensurate experience)
  • 12+ years of experience in business analysis, project management, or a similar role.
  • Experience developing dashboards and data models using Power BI.
  • Expertise in Power Apps, DAX, Power Query, data modeling, and optimizing BI semantic layers.
  • Proven ability to work with large and complex datasets across multiple platforms including Azure, Databricks, and enterprise data warehouses.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate ambiguous requirements into actionable insights.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for engaging with business and technical stakeholders.
  • Experience building KPI-driven dashboards that support operational decision-making and process improvement.

Preferred Skills And Experience

  • Service Now experience.
  • Experience supporting government or healthcare analytics environments, preferably within the VA ecosystem.
  • Familiarity with Azure cloud cost management, usage analytics, and service utilization reporting.
  • Knowledge of Databricks, VHA Data Lake, NDS-governed data, and cloud provisioning workflows.
  • Experience developing self-service BI frameworks, data governance standards, and documentation.
  • Understanding of agile practices, Jira, ServiceNow, SharePoint, or similar collaboration tools.
  • Prior experience supporting rapid-provisioning or customer enablement programs.

Ability to obtain and maintain a suitability/Public Trust

Posted Salary Range

USD $170,000.00 - USD $180,000.00 /Yr.
