Power BI Developer (Only W2)

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Microsoft Power BI Developer with a reinsurance industry background to join our dynamic team and transform data into actionable intelligence. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain business intelligence solutions using Power BI, Databricks, and dbt. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand reporting needs and deliver high-quality dashboards and reports that drive data-driven decision-making.

Technical Skill Requirements

• Business Intelligence: Power BI, Azure Databricks, Azure Analysis Services (SSAS), Azure Data Lake Analytics, Azure Data Lake Store (ADLS), Power Apps, SSRS, DAX, Power Query (M Language).

• Database Technologies: Azure SQL Server, Azure SQL Database, MongoDB.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and understand reporting needs.

• Utilize Databricks and dbt to create gold-standard reporting objects for Power BI dashboards.

• Design and develop interactive dashboards and custom reports using Power BI.

• Build data models and execute data transformations using Power Query and DAX.

• Ensure data accuracy and integrity through rigorous validation and quality checks.

• Optimize Power BI reports for performance and usability.

• Troubleshoot and resolve Power BI-related issues promptly.

• Document processes, data sources, and report specifications for future reference.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.

• Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Power BI Developer or similar role.

• Strong proficiency in Power BI, including Power Query, DAX, and data modeling.

• Experience working with SQL and relational databases.

• Solid understanding of data visualization best practices.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder collaboration.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with other BI tools (IBM Cognos, Tableau, QlikView) is a plus.

• Reinsurance industry knowledge is preferred.

• Expertise in Azure cloud services and data warehousing concepts.

• Strong knowledge of Databricks and dbt.

• Certification in Microsoft Power BI or related technologies.
