Power BI Developer (US)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Power BI Developer to design, develop, and maintain business intelligence solutions that transform complex data into actionable insights. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Power BI, DAX, SQL, data modeling, and dashboard development.

Responsibilities

• Develop interactive Power BI dashboards, reports, and data visualizations.
• Create optimized DAX measures, calculated columns, and data models.
• Write complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
• Build and maintain scalable data models and reporting solutions.
• Integrate data from multiple sources into Power BI.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into BI solutions.
• Optimize Power BI reports and queries for performance.
• Collaborate with business analysts, data engineers, and stakeholders.
• Maintain data accuracy, security, and reporting standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve Power BI and data-related issues.

Requirements

• 2–7 years of experience in Power BI development or Business Intelligence.
• Strong proficiency in Power BI, DAX, and SQL.
• Experience with data modeling, Power Query, and ETL processes.
• Strong understanding of relational databases and BI concepts.
• Experience creating executive-level dashboards and KPI reports.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management abilities.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Azure, Microsoft Fabric, or Azure Synapse.
• Knowledge of SQL Server and cloud data platforms.
• Experience with Power BI Service, deployment pipelines, and row-level security.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.

Pay & Location

• Salary: $80,000–$150,000 annually, depending on experience, skills, and location.
• Primary Locations: Dallas, TX; Chicago, IL; Atlanta, GA; New York, NY.
