Power BI Developer

About the role

The role of Power BI Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data models and reports using Microsoft Power BI tools. This includes working closely with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translating those needs into effective data solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop data models and reports using Power BI tools.
• Collaborate with business analysts and IT teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Ensure data integrity and security in all Power BI projects.
• Optimize performance and enhance user experience of Power BI dashboards and reports.
• Provide technical guidance and support to team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in Power BI development and data modeling.
• Proficiency in SQL and knowledge of data warehousing concepts.
• Experience with Azure Data Factory and Power BI service.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to work with large datasets.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Python, R, or other scripting languages is a plus.
• Experience with Tableau or similar BI tools is a plus.
• Experience with cloud-based solutions such as AWS or Google Cloud is a plus.

Skills

• Advanced proficiency in Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.
• Experience with Power BI API and Power BI Embedded.
• Understanding of data governance and privacy regulations.
• Good understanding of data visualization best practices.

Pay

• $80,000 - $100,000 annually.
