About the Role

Raytheon’s Hardware Electrical Engineering Team is looking for junior engineers with electronics knowledge to support the design and test of electronic products and systems, particularly circuit cards. We are expanding our engineering organization to meet customer demand and seek engineers with strong foundational skills and a passion for solving complex problems. Defense industry experience is not required—we will invest in your growth.

Responsibilities

  • Support the design, analysis, test, and/or documentation of electronic circuits.
  • Support integration and verification activities in engineering laboratories.
  • Provide product test and troubleshooting support.
  • Report execution status relative to planned budget and schedule.
  • Function as an individual contributor while collaborating with small technical teams.
  • Clearly present work product to leadership.
  • Engage in professional growth and development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related STEM field and a minimum of 2 years’ prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field.
  • Education or experience with any of the following: RF, power, analog, digital, and/or mixed-signal circuit design or analysis, or digital signal processing.
  • Education or experience with analog laboratory equipment such as waveform generators, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and/or network analyzers.
  • Education or experience with simulation software for circuit analysis or modeling.

Qualifications We Value

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Education or experience in Root-Cause Corrective Action investigations.
  • Education or experience performing analog electrical engineering design.
  • Education or experience with tools such as Mentor Graphics Designer, PSPICE, System Vision, MATLAB, Mathcad, IDL, CST, Microwave Design Studio, HFSS, ADS, SABER RD, SIMPLIS, or xDX Designer.
  • Design and/or analysis education or experience with analog electronics, including at least one of the following: power supply topologies (buck, boost, buck-boost), FETs/BJTs, op-amps, high/low/band-pass filters, clock/data termination, or comparator circuits.
  • Education or experience with subsystems integration and test, problem investigation, Statistical Process Control (SPC) methods, technical writing, formal presentations, or implementing Engineering Change Notices.
  • Education or experience supporting or executing Electronics CAD layouts for printed wiring or circuit boards.
  • Self-starter capable of working independently or with a small technical team.
  • Ability to provide technical oversight, cost estimation, tracking, reporting, and proposal support.
  • Desire to lead design efforts or small teams.
  • Strong communication skills for reporting project status to leadership and/or customers.

Pay

The salary range for this role is $68,900 – $131,100 USD. The range reflects all experience levels, and RTX considers factors such as role, function, responsibilities, work experience, location, education/training, and key skills when extending an offer.
