Powder Coater

About the role

Powder Coater Operators are needed for a conveyor systems integrator in Port Clinton. The position involves painting products using powdered paint, maintaining equipment, and following safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Understand all paint equipment including powder oven and liquid paint equipment
• Can troubleshoot and perform routine maintenance on equipment
• Maintain a safe working environment and follow all safety protocols
• Mask off and paint large pieces of equipment
• Load and unload Powder Coat Line
• Organize paperwork and ensure proper identification of product
• Properly wand jobs
• Work safely, injury free
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Requirements

• Able to pass math & measurement assessment
• Able to read tape measure to 1/16 inch
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
• Able to convert decimals to fractions and fractions to decimals
• Basic data entry skills including how to print documents
• Must have basic reading and writing skills in the English language
• Successful completion of 90-day probationary period

Education & Experience

• A high school diploma or GED equivalent
• 1 year of powder coat experience, including basic understanding of powder coat oven operation and airless spray gun usage, preferred

Physical Demands

• Stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms frequently
• Lift and/or move up to 100 pounds occasionally
• Exposure to materials with SDS sheets but not life-threatening
• Required to wear a respirator and dust mask

Compensation

• $20.00 per hour base rate
• 10% shift differential for 2nd & 3rd hours
• 2nd shift: 2p-10p
• 3rd shift: 10p-6a
• Overtime required as needed
