Job Description
The Research and Evaluation Methodology Program at the University of Florida invites applications for Postdoctoral Scholar positions. Postdoctoral Scholars will work with Dr. Wei Li on multiple funded projects focused on quantitative research methods development and/or the causal evaluation of educational programs.
Required Qualifications
- Doctoral degree in quantitative research methods, statistics, or a closely related field by the start date (or completion of all degree requirements prior to the start date).
Preferred
- The ideal candidate will have expertise in one or more of the following areas:
- Design and analysis of longitudinal studies
- Monte Carlo simulation and/or statistical software or package development (e.g., R, Stata)
- Multi-level modeling (MLM), difference-in-differences (DID), or comparative interrupted time series (CITS)
- Cleaning and managing large datasets from administrative data sources or online learning platforms
- Causal machine learning (e.g., double/debiased machine learning (DML), causal forests, generic ML)
- Learning analytics and/or education data mining
Note
- This position does not require expertise in latent growth modeling or structural equation modeling (SEM), and these methods will not be used in this role.
