Postdoctoral Scholar-Pediatrics Research

Responsibilities

• Conducts advanced, mentored research in support of the department’s funded research portfolio at UT Health Science Center.
• Designs and conducts experiments/studies aligned with grant-funded aims.
• Collects, analyzes, and interprets data.
• Prepares manuscripts, abstracts, and presentations.
• Affords assistance with grant reporting and contributes to future grant submissions.
• Ensures compliance with IRB/IACUC, biosafety, and other regulatory requirements.
• Maintains accurate research documentation and data integrity.
• Mentors students or junior research staff as appropriate.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Education: Ph.D. or equivalent Doctoral Degree in a relevant scientific field from an accredited institution.
• Experience: Experience working on animal experiments and flow cytometry. Demonstrated research experience aligned with the department’s focus area.
• Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities: Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of research compliance standards (e.g., IRB, IACUC, biosafety). Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
