About the role
The Syracuse University Experimental Gravitational-Wave group is seeking a postdoctoral researcher to work on technology for current and future gravitational-wave detectors. The successful candidate will design and build quantum noise reduction schemes.
Responsibilities
Conduct independent research in the lab and mentor graduate students in the Syracuse University Gravitational-Wave Group.
Qualifications
PhD in Physics, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience in optics is preferred. Experience in one or more of the following areas is desired: optics, electronics, quantum optics, interferometer control and simulation.
