Postdoctoral Researcher- Experimental High Energy Physics
About the role
The Physics department at Syracuse University is soliciting applications for a postdoctoral researcher who will work in Experimental High Energy Physics on the LHCb experiment and its Upgrades.
Responsibilities
- Design and implementation of a component of the instrumentation projects being implemented at Syracuse University.
- Detector optimization studies, laboratory measurements, and test-beam studies.
- Mentor a small team of graduate and undergraduate students.
- Opportunities for physics analysis with LHCb RUN 3 data in collaboration with one of the Syracuse faculty.
Qualifications
- PhD in Experimental High Energy Physics.
- Experience in instrumentation, in particular solid-state detectors or electronics, and/or physics analysis.
