Postdoctoral Researcher

About the role

The Thoracic Surgery Translational Research Lab, led by Dr. Laura Kresty, is currently accepting applications for a Postdoctoral Scholar. Dr. Kresty’s research strives to understand the complex mechanisms underlying cancers of the esophagus and lung with the goal of developing more efficacious interventions for cancer prevention, interception, and treatment. Broadly, laboratory interests include inhibiting cancer progression using natural products as well as pharmacologic agents and deciphering how host-related (i.e., sex, age, obesity, genetics, microbiome) and environmental factors (i.e., diet, chemical exposures, tobacco use) mediate cancer development and response to therapy. The lab works closely with clinical faculty to address research questions in a translationally relevant manner.
