Responsibilities

  • Prepare manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals and assist in writing grant proposals.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including clinicians, bioinformaticians, and other researchers.
  • Mentor junior lab members, including graduate students and research assistants.
  • Maintain detailed laboratory records and ensure compliance with institutional and federal research guidelines.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. or equivalent degree in Immunology, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, or a related field.
  • Strong background in immunology, with preference for experience in mucosal immunology, inflammation, or host-microbe interactions.
  • Proficiency in techniques such as multi-parameter flow cytometry, cell culture, ELISA, PCR, Western blotting, and confocal microscopy.
  • Experience with animal models (e.g., mouse models of disease) is highly desirable.
  • Track record of peer-reviewed publications in relevant scientific journals.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
