About the role

Located in the Molecular Cardiology Biology department at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center (United States), this day‑shift, regular‑status postdoctoral fellowship (FTE 1, 40 hours/week) invites highly motivated candidates to investigate nuclear and chromatin organization and dynamics in development, homeostasis, and disease. Ongoing projects focus on nuclear mechanosensing, nuclear envelope damage and repair, and nuclear lamina–chromatin interactions in developmental and degenerative contexts. Applicants interested in extending these studies to cardiovascular, muscular, and nervous systems across development, disease, and aging are encouraged to apply. The lab uses a multidisciplinary approach integrating functional genomics, quantitative cell biology, mathematical modeling, mouse genetics and disease models, and bioinformatics. Cincinnati Children’s provides a strong research environment with ample opportunities for collaboration within and beyond the institution.

Responsibilities

  • Develop critical thinking and data analysis skills; devise specific aims, plan long‑term projects, and design experiments to become an independent scientist.
  • Design, execute, and record laboratory experiments; analyze data that may influence future patient care decisions.
