About the role
The Postdoctoral Research Fellow position is available at the Tulane University Center for Sport (TUCfS) to advance research studies on the health implications of sports participation. The Fellow will join an ongoing research project focused on former professional American football players.
Responsibilities
- Conduct high-level, complex research under the supervision of TUCfS Faculty Directors
- Collaborate with research partners from various departments within Tulane University, as well as from institutions across the United States and around the globe
- Play a pivotal role in advancing research studies on the health implications of sports participation
- Work on one or more of the following areas: cardiometabolic health, men's health, behavioral health, musculoskeletal health, renal health, sleep health, neurosciences
Requirements
- A PhD in a relevant field (e.g., biomedical sciences, public health, exercise science)
- Experience in conducting research related to sports participation and health outcomes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Qualifications
- Passionate about contributing to the understanding of health implications of sports participation
- Interest in interdisciplinary research
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
Skills
