About the role

The Yang laboratory at the Center of Excellence for Structural Cell Biology at St Jude Children’s Research Hospital invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate (Ph.D. level). The group specializes in in situ cryo-ET and development of correlative tools and workflows.

Responsibilities

• Study cell-cell interactions
• Develop novel tools for integrative/correlative cryo-ET
• Quantify gene editing, transfection/reverse transcription, cloning, microscopy imaging, and basic programming skills
• Work in a multidisciplinary, collaborative environment

Requirements

• Ph.D. in molecular biology, biochemistry/chemistry, structural biology or related discipline
• Previous experience in gene editing, transfection/reverse transcription, cloning, microscopy imaging, and/or basic programming skills
• High level of self-motivation and organization
• Strong problem-solving skills and motivation to learn new techniques
• Ability to thrive in a multidisciplinary, collaborative environment with a respectful and supportive approach

• Excellent oral and written communication skills
