About the role

The successful candidate will investigate the fundamental mechanisms of the "chaperone code" using a combination of molecular biology, biochemistry, proteomics, genetics, and cell biology approaches.

Responsibilities

  • Employ cutting-edge proteomic and interactome-mapping technologies to study chaperone modifications and their impact on protein folding, stress responses, signaling pathways, and disease processes.
  • Work with yeast and mammalian model systems to understand the regulation of molecular chaperones and cellular proteostasis.
  • Contribute to a collaborative research environment that fosters career development and publication opportunities.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in biochemistry, molecular biology, cell biology, or a related field.
  • Experience in protein biochemistry, proteomics, cell signaling, or molecular genetics is desirable.

Qualifications

  • At least one first author paper in a Q1 journal.
  • Previous experience working with molecular chaperones, phosphorylation in yeast and/or mammalian cells is preferred.

Skills

  • Strong background in molecular biology, biochemistry, proteomics, genetics, and cell biology.
  • Experience with yeast and mammalian model systems.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a high-impact research setting.
