Postdoctoral Research Associate (Post-Transcriptional Regulation)
About the role
The Bazzini Lab at the Stowers Institute for Medical Research has an opening for a postdoctoral researcher to address fundamental questions in biology related to post-transcriptional regulation during zebrafish embryogenesis. Candidates should be interested in RNA, gene regulatory networks, post-transcriptional gene regulation, development and/or genomics. Successful candidates will have the ability to work in a team-oriented environment as well as have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to ongoing research projects in the lab
- Design and execute experiments to investigate post-transcriptional regulation
- Collaborate with other lab members and external collaborators
- Write and publish research papers
Requirements
- PhD in the life sciences
- At least one first-author publication
- Experience working in a team-oriented environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Qualifications
- Strong background in RNA, gene regulatory networks, post-transcriptional gene regulation, development, or genomics
- Ability to design and execute experiments independently
- Experience with zebrafish embryogenesis research
Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- Proficiency in laboratory techniques and technologies
