About the role
IEH Laboratories, a leader in food safety, is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Associate to join its R&D team in Seattle, WA. The ideal candidate will possess a PhD in Food Microbiology, Food Science, or a related field, along with a passion for food microbiology and science.
Responsibilities
- Conduct and manage a variety of research projects in food science and food microbiology.
- Collaborate with other members of the R&D team to develop innovative solutions for client projects.
- Write and present research findings to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Participate in quality control and ensure compliance with industry standards.
Requirements
- PhD degree in Food Microbiology, Food Science, or related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly motivated and proactive with strong attention to detail.
- Strong understanding of aseptic technique in the laboratory.
Qualifications
- Possess a deep understanding of food microbiology and food science principles.
- Willingness to contribute to the development of new food safety technologies.
- Experience working in a laboratory setting is preferred.

Pay and Schedule
The pay range for this position is $78,000 - $80,000 annually (DOE).
This is a full-time position.
Schedule
Occasional weekend work, extended hours, and presence in the lab outside of the normal schedule may be required.
Travel
This position may require occasional travel assignments depending on project needs.
Relocation
Candidates must either currently reside in the local area or be willing to relocate at their own expense. Relocation assistance is not provided.
