Duties & Responsibilities
- Contribute to a research project in close collaboration with faculty supervisors, PhD students and undergraduates on additive manufacturing of high temperature structural alloys.
- Innovate new areas of inquiry and advance materials testing, modeling and/or characterization techniques and data analysis.
- Present research findings in meetings and publish in scientific journals; maintain detailed records and datasets.
Requirements
- Knowledge and experience with mechanical testing, mechanics/ICME modeling, and microstructural characterization (SEM, EBSD, TEM, etc.).
- Experience in preparing, writing, editing and revising research articles.
Qualifications
- PhD in Materials Science & Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- Selected candidate must have Ph.D. conferred upon hire.
Skills
- Knowledge and experience with mechanical testing, mechanics/ICME modeling, and microstructural characterization (SEM, EBSD, TEM, etc.).

Pay
The position pays NIH salary guidelines, depending on experience.
