Duties/Responsibilities
- Developing work-flow processes and coding them to automate processing of multisensory data from air-borne (unpiloted aerial systems) and vehicular mounted sensor systems for determining pavement functional and structural conditions.
- Identifying pavement field sites for multisensory data collection.
- Designing laboratory experiments for benchmarking sensor performances.
Minimum Acceptable Education & Experience
- PhD degree in Civil Engineering, Geography, or related fields.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Profound in geospatial data processing
- Python programming experience
- Knowledge of optical, lidar, and ground penetrating radar sensing systems
- General understanding of pavements and condition assessment
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a team setting and be self-motivated
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with GIS
- UAV data and data processing
Other Requirements
- Established publication record in peer reviewed journals
