About the role

The D-PReD (Drug-(Preformulation, Repurposing, and Drug Delivery) Research Laboratory at the R. Ken Coit College of Pharmacy, University of Arizona seeks a postdoctoral fellow with expertise in the development, characterization and in vivo evaluation of ocular delivery systems. The person selected for this position will also assist the Principal Investigator, Dr. Abhijit Date, in the laboratory management, supervision of undergraduate and graduate students, and manuscript writing.

Responsibilities

• Develop, characterize, and evaluate ocular drug delivery systems
• Assist in laboratory management and supervision of students
• Contribute to manuscript writing and publication

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, Biomedical Engineering, or related field
• Experience in ocular drug delivery systems
• Strong background in formulation science and pharmacology
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good organizational and time management skills
• Passion for research and academic pursuits

Skills

• Proficiency in laboratory techniques such as formulation development, in vitro testing, and animal models
• Knowledge of regulatory guidelines and good laboratory practices
• Basic understanding of pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics
