Job Summary
The University of Pittsburgh invites applications for a postdoctoral research position in experimental neutrino physics. The position will contribute to the R&D of Project 8 and CUPID and the data analysis of CUORE and Project 8. Opportunities for leadership and grant writing are available.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to R&D of Project 8 and CUPID
- Participate in data analysis of CUORE and Project 8
- Take on leadership roles in these collaborations
- Write grant proposals and manuscripts for publication
- Present at conferences and collaborate internationally
- Mentor graduate and undergraduate students
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols
Requirements
- PhD in experimental particle or nuclear physics or equivalent
- Experience in instrumentation and detector R&D
- Experience in software development and data analysis is preferred
- Ability to travel for detector development, installation, and monitoring
Qualifications
- Successful conferral of your PhD is required prior to the start of your appointment
