About the role

The Department of Radiological Sciences at the University of California, Irvine, seeks a creative, dedicated, and collaborative individual to join their interdisciplinary research team. The TRUE Lab focuses on cutting-edge radiacoustic imaging technologies for applications in cancer therapy and atrial fibrillation treatment.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development and optimization of radiacoustic imaging technologies
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to advance research projects
  • Participate in experimental design, data collection, and analysis
  • Write technical reports and present findings at scientific conferences

Requirements

  • PhD, MD, or MD/PhD in biomedical engineering, physics, electrical engineering, or a related field
  • Strong background in ultrasound imaging
  • Experience in photoacoustic imaging
  • Hands-on skills in medical device development or strong computational skills including signal processing and image reconstruction

Qualifications

  • Basic qualifications (required at time of application): PhD, MD, or MD/PhD in biomedical engineering, physics, electrical engineering, or a related field

Skills
