Position Description
The Department of Radiological Sciences, University of California, Irvine, anticipates openings for a Postdoctoral Scholar. The position involves research investigation in the areas of cardiovascular and dual energy CT. Research in this laboratory focuses on applications of medical x-ray imaging for cardiovascular disease and cancer diagnosis. Applicants with a broad background in medical physics, physics, or electrical engineering are preferred.
Minimum Qualifications
- PhD, MD, or MD/PhD in medical physics, physics, electrical engineering, biomedical engineering, or a related field
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong background in CT physics
- Experience in dual energy material decomposition CT
- Background in image processing, computational modeling, or quantitative imaging
- Strong motivation to pursue an academic medical physics career
- Strong background in physics, mathematics and software or hardware development skills
- The ability to communicate both verbally and in written format
