About the Position
This Postdoc position will lead projects in our OCCAM Immune, an Academic Research Organization (ARO) and will utilize state-of-the-art technologies to provide comprehensive immune monitoring services to pharmaceutical and biotech companies engaged in clinical trials. The Postdoc provides scientific and technical leadership in the management, design and execution of a clinical research program. They will collaborate with a team of scientists and technicians on projects related to various diseases, including cancer, allergy, autoimmunity, neurological disorders, and more. This role offers an exciting opportunity to gain extensive familiarity with a wide array of advanced technologies and biological data, directly influencing pioneering work in translational immunology.
Responsibilities
- Designs and conducts complex clinical research studies requiring the determination and evaluation of alternative methods.
- Plans individual workload in coordination with team members.
- Learns how to use laboratory equipment appropriate for assigned tasks.
- Learns to conduct routine analyses in compliance with applicable methods, protocols and SOPs.
- Learns how to document work and maintain study documentation and laboratory records.
- Analyzes and interprets clinical data from research studies.
- Learns to recognize deviations from normal results and informs Principal Investigator and/or management of any problems and/or deviations that may affect the integrity of the data.
- Supports process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Ph.D. in sciences or related field.
- 1-2 years experience with scientific investigation and research environment.
Preferred Experience
Experience with any of above assays (especially in flow cytometry and immune cell phenotyping) and human biospecimen processing would be ideal but is not required, since full platform-specific training on all the biological assay platforms will be provided.
Pay
Based on UAW agreement starting salary $74,692. Salary range: $72,500 - $80,000 Annually.
