About the role

A full-time Neuropsychology Postdoctoral Fellowship position is available with Dr. Jacqueline Becker at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. The position is fully funded for one year, with potential for continued support.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations for adults with Long COVID and other infection-associated chronic conditions, supporting differential diagnosis (e.g., post-viral vs. neurodegenerative etiologies) and treatment planning
  • Deliver cognitive rehabilitation interventions for patients with Long COVID-related cognitive dysfunction
  • Score, interpret, and write up neuropsychological reports in a timely manner
  • Help train, guide, and supervise research assistants and coordinators working across large, multi-site national clinical trials
  • Participate in weekly didactics, lab meetings, and case conferences
  • Potential opportunity to supervise neuropsychology interns, depending on experience and training goals
  • Work closely with Dr. Becker and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including physicians, biostatisticians, social workers, and clinical coordinators across Mount Sinai and multi-site RECOVER consortium partners
  • Opportunities to contribute to protocol development, data analysis, and manuscript preparation across active studies
  • Opportunities to author or co-author peer-reviewed manuscripts and present research at national and international conferences

Qualifications

  • Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology (APA-accredited program and internship strongly preferred)
  • Experience administering, scoring, and interpreting neuropsychological assessment batteries
  • Strong clinical interviewing and psychometric skills, with practical experience working with medically complex, cognitively impaired, or psychiatrically comorbid adult populations
  • Excellent oral communication and scientific writing skills, with a track record of (or interest in) academic writing and presentation
  • Experience with cognitive rehabilitation strongly preferred
  • Interest in infection-associated chronic illness, medical populations, or health psychology is a plus
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a fast-paced, multi-site research environment
  • Eligibility for psychology licensure in New York State

Compensation

The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides salary ranges that comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $72500 - $80000 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and operational need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
