About the role

The Postdoctoral Fellow will investigate the assembly mechanism of protein condensates in cancer signaling under the guidance of Dr. Juan Guan in the College of Pharmacy. Research in the Guan lab focuses on the intersection of physics and biology, employing advanced techniques such as cell biology, quantitative imaging, and biomaterials to uncover fundamental principles and develop innovative applications.

Responsibilities

  • Investigate the assembly mechanism of protein condensates in cancer signaling
  • Contribute to manuscript preparation for scientific publication
  • Generate data and participate in scientific writing for federal grant applications
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements

  • PhD in relevant field received within three years of the start date
  • Proficiency in immunoblotting and cell culture techniques
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct independent scientific research and publish original findings

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in biochemistry techniques such as immunoblotting or Western blotting
  • Background in cell biology or cell signaling

Pay
