Postdoctoral Fellow – CMML

Position Highlights

The laboratory of Dr. Eric Padron is looking to recruit a Postdoc to join his lab. Dr. Padron’s research focuses on myelodysplastic syndromes, with an emphasis on chronic myelomonocytic leukemia (CMML).

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and organized research records
• Contribute to manuscript preparation, grant writing, and peer-reviewed publications
• Stay current with relevant scientific literature
• Bring innovative ideas and critical thinking to the lab’s research direction
• Collaborate with internal and external teams, including clinicians, bioinformaticians, and core facilities

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of immunology, molecular biology, and cellular signaling pathways
• Experienced in a basic or translational immunology lab
• Strong grasp of techniques including cell culture, PCR, flow cytometry, ELISA, cytokine profiling, and immunoassays
• Familiarity with data analysis for immunological experiments (e.g., flow cytometry data, multiplex cytokine assays, or immune repertoire sequencing)
• Comfort using basic computational tools (e.g., GraphPad Prism, FlowJo, R) for analysis
• Basic knowledge in bioinformatics and transcriptomic analysis is a plus

Credentials and Qualifications

• MD or PhD in Immunology or related field
• At least one first-author publication
