About the role

The Guzmán-Vélez Lab at Rutgers University seeks a highly motivated Postdoctoral Associate to join a multidisciplinary research program focused on brain health and dementia risk. The lab integrates epidemiological, clinical, neuropsychological, biological, and intervention-based approaches to understand and mitigate risk for Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias (ADRD).

Responsibilities

• Contribute to ongoing and new research projects
• Collaborate with investigators across disciplines
• Contribute to grant writing and manuscript development
• Mentor trainees as appropriate
• Collect data
• Participate in community events associated with the lab’s research and mission

Requirements

Minimum qualifications include:

• Demonstrated ability to publish in peer-reviewed journals
• Well organized, detail-oriented, able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks to meet deadlines, and work effectively in a collaborative environment
• Highly motivated, passionate about science, a strong communicator, and possess an internal drive to learn independently
