Postdoctoral Associate

About the role

The Postdoctoral Associate will focus on data collection and management of clinical projects on aortic disease research. Baylor College of Medicine typically follows stipend guidelines for Postdoctoral Associates similar to those stipulated by the NIH.

Responsibilities

• Study design, conduct data analysis and interpretation in advanced endovascular aortic research within a collaborative, multidisciplinary research environment.
• Develop research protocols, facilitate IRB processes, and contribute to the coordination of multicenter clinical research studies.
• Perform comprehensive prospective or retrospective clinical data collection and management of projects on aortic disease research, including pre-, intra-, and post-procedural data collection, CTA measurements, and ultrasound interpretation.
• Write manuscripts and present results at both national and international professional conferences.
• Oversee patient consent, complete case report forms (CRFs), and assess quality-of-life questionnaires.
• Oversee clinical data entry into electronic databases sourced from electronic medical records or other clinical databases.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• MD or PhD in Basic Science, Health Science, or a related field.
