POSTDOC IN THE KREIDBERG-SCHUMACHER LABORATORY DIVISION OF NEPHROLOGY - BETH ISRAEL DEACONESS MEDICAL CENTER

About the role

The laboratory focuses on the molecular biology of kidney disease, including studies on podocyte injury and repair mechanisms. Research involves both in vivo and in vitro models of kidney injury.

Responsibilities

- Independently design and conduct experiments to investigate the molecular pathways involved in podocyte injury and repair. - Utilize techniques such as chromatin immunoprecipitation (ChIP-seq), RNA sequencing (RNA-seq), and other standard molecular and cell biological methods. - Keep up-to-date with the latest research in the field through reading scientific literature, attending seminars, and participating in scientific meetings. - Contribute to the maintenance of the laboratory and collaborate with other lab personnel. - Maintain an active role in the scientific community by presenting findings at conferences and workshops.

Requirements

- Prior experience with standard molecular and cell biological experimentation. - Experience with chromatin immunoprecipitation (ChIP-seq) and RNA sequencing (RNA-seq) is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

- PhD in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, or a related field. - Strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals. - Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
