About the role
A postdoctoral fellow position is open in the Thiagarajah Lab at Boston Children’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School. The lab focuses on understanding how cells sense and interact with their surroundings and how membrane channels and transporters contribute to innate immune function, development, and cellular metabolism. Research projects include investigations into redox signaling within the GI tract and the impact of age and diet on intestinal function, using advanced imaging techniques, cell models, and 3D cultures.
Responsibilities
- Investigate redox signaling within the GI tract
- Examine the role of age and diet on intestinal function
- Use state-of-the-art imaging in animal and cell model systems
- Collaborate with other lab members to undertake independent projects
- Support other lab experiments
Requirements
- Ph.D. in a basic science
- Experience in cell and molecular biology and imaging
- Experience in cell culture and animal handling
- Track record of productive research and publications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
