Post Trade Applications Production Engineer
About the role
Barclays Services Corp. seeks Post Trade Applications Production Engineers in Whippany, NJ (multiple positions available).
Responsibilities
- Manage all major incidents impacting Group Finance applications, including follow-up to identify root cause and remediation actions.
- Work closely with BTB teams to ensure that priority problems are addressed in a timely manner.
- Closely manage Risk & Control / Audit activities. Ensure that any deliverables are met on time and work closely with central teams to understand upcoming demands in advance.
- Ensure that Knowledge Management procedures are followed correctly, keeping knowledge base up-to-date with new and amended knowledge articles. Highlight any knowledge gaps and arrange training if required.
- Manage service transition activity, ensuring that new applications/releases into Production environment meet service acceptance criteria and operational deliverables have been met prior to handover.
- Perform regular Capacity Management reviews for Regulatory systems.
- Provide Service Level Management.
- Ensure all operational services are monitored and measured throughout the function in a consistent manner.
- Produce reports on service performance for customers and users.
- Identify, manage, and implement improvements to the support model with the aim of delivering a more efficient and effective service to clients.
- Ensure applications/software environments are fully maintained with appropriately supported updates, patches and/or service packs in line with corporate system maintenance policies.
Requirements
Availability, performance, and scalability of systems and services through proactive monitoring, maintenance, and capacity planning.
Resolution, analysis and response to system outages and disruptions, and implement measures to prevent similar incidents from recurring.
Development of tools and scripts to automate operational processes, reducing manual workload, increasing efficiency, and improving system resilience.
Monitoring and optimisation of system performance and resource usage, identify and address bottlenecks, and implement best practices for performance tuning.
Collaboration with development teams to integrate best practices for reliability, scalability, and performance into the software development lifecycle, and work closely with other teams to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

Pay
Minimum Salary: $127,234.00 per year
Maximum Salary: $139,957.40 per year
Schedule
Hybrid work arrangement possible.

This position is eligible for an incentive award.
The minimum and maximum salary/rate information above includes only base salary or base hourly rate. It does not include any other type of compensation or benefits that may be available.
