Post-Production Technician
About the role
The ASSA ABLOY Group is seeking a Post-Production Technician for our Grand Canyon Service Center or regional manufacturing facility in Phoenix, AZ. This is an on-site role based out of our Phoenix, AZ facility.
Responsibilities
- Install hardware for Rite Door Assemblies, including panic devices, entry trim, continuous hinges, kick plates, and more.
- Package and prepare Rite Slide Assemblies for shipment.
- Perform door machining, modification, grinding, sanding, and other production tasks as needed.
- Receive and inspect incoming materials for quality and accuracy.
- Pick, bundle, package, and label materials for customer orders, ensuring proper packaging standards.
- Restock inventory and maintain organization of storage areas.
- Ensure compliance with established quality standards and work instructions.
- Maintain equipment through regular inspections and report any issues.
- Adapt to changing assignments or responsibilities as needed.
- Follow safety protocols and contribute to a safe and efficient work environment.
- Other projects and assignments, as needed.
Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED, or Silver Certificate required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in installation, production, industry sales, customer service, or a related field is desired.
- Experience in metal fabrication or commercial construction work preferred.
- Experience with hand tools, trucks, banding equipment, drill presses, and saws.
- Experience operating forklifts and/or welding is a plus.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to measure accurately to 1/16”.
- Basic math skills, including fractions, decimals, and metric conversions.
- Computer proficiency (RF guns, inventory systems, and office-related tools).
- Ability to work within a dynamic team while having the ability to multitask, prioritize projects, and work independently.
- Strong teamwork orientation, thriving in a collaborative environment.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. for approximately 30% of the time.
- Ability to walk and stand for the duration of the work shift.
- Must possess a valid forklift operator’s license.
- Willingness to work overtime as needed.
