About the role
The Post Production Specialist II will blend collaborative video editing with motion-graphics design and animation. The role also serves as the primary editor/motion-graphics artist on projects, taking direction from producers. Candidates must be able to design and animate full motion-graphics pieces from storyboards or provided artwork, perform intermediate/advanced color correction, work with RED raw footage, and handle intermediate sound design. Full color-grading experience, production experience, and knowledge of camera equipment are pluses.
Responsibilities
- VFX or compositing experience
- Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, After Effects, Audition, Photoshop, Illustrator)
- Log raw footage, pick selects, and tag assets in a media-management system
- Edit collaboratively and carry projects from start to finish
- Take creative direction and collaborate with producers, designers, and illustrators
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Strong media-management skills
- Work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Keen eye for design and understanding of design principles
Only candidates with motion/editing reels and a portfolio will be considered.
Qualifications
- 5–7 years of experience at an agency, design firm, in-house creative team, or similar
- 5–7 years of post-production experience
- High-school diploma or equivalent
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Proficient with Adobe Production Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Adobe Creative Cloud)
- Create 2D motion graphics from storyboards or from scratch
- Stay current with visual-design trends
- Collaborate with graphic designers, illustrators, videographers, and producers
- Adapt to evolving media and technology landscapes
- Strong sense of color, typography, design composition, and music
- Proficient in media management on PC and Mac
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
Additional Knowledge and Skills
- Use AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot) to support daily work
- Evaluate AI outputs for accuracy, compliance, and bias
- Integrate AI into workflows to improve efficiency or insights
- Familiarity with AI-assisted research, summarization, and content generation
- Understand responsible AI use, including ethics and data protection
