As a Post Harvest Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and integrity of our cannabis flower materials from intake to production.
Responsibilities
- Operate medical processing equipment and participate in all steps of the process, including intake, drying, curing, and trimming.
- Approve incoming flower batches by confirming specifications through visual and physical verifications.
- Document moisture testing results, complete reports, and input data into company databases.
- Maintain and calibrate measurement equipment to ensure accurate testing.
- Collect third-party testing samples and perform "burping" of flower bins during curing.
- Ensure all product is accounted for according to company policies and procedures.
- Work flexibly across various sectors of the production department as needed.
- Receive, sort, count, and record raw batch items, ensuring proper storage and quality.
- Prepare processed medicine in accordance with standard work instructions and hygiene standards.
- Clean workspaces, including counters and floors, to maintain a safe environment.
- Perform duties on the packaging line, including loading, adjusting, labeling, and monitoring quality and quantity.
- Attend to additional duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1-3 years of related experience.
- Must be 18 years of age or older and able to pass a Level 2 background screening.
- Ability to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 50 lbs to a height of 5 feet and carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet, with or without mechanical assistance.
- Ability to work seated or standing for extended periods, climb ladders, kneel, crouch, and reach as required.
- Must be able to handle organic matter daily and wear appropriate PPE in various environmental conditions (e.g., hot, cold, humid).
- Visual acuity for reading, inspecting small parts, and working in day/night conditions.
- Ability to communicate verbally in moderate noise environments.
Skills
- Controls and instrumentation experience.
- Experience with processing quality.
- Ability to work under minimum supervision and manage changes in schedule.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, controlled environment.
- Experience working with chemicals, oils, and sharp objects.
- Outstanding communication and organizational skills.
- Ensure timeliness of return from breaks.
