About the role
Postdoc position available to study the mechanisms of drug-induced acute kidney injury and identify therapeutics to prevent kidney injury.
Responsibilities
- Conduct mechanistic and translational research projects funded by NIH investigating drug-induced kidney injury
- Identify factors influencing the likelihood of drug toxicity/failure
- Utilize state-of-the-art core facilities including Genomics, Genetics, Proteomics, Imaging, Histopathology, Analytical Chemistry, Flow Cytometry, Cell Sorting, High Content Imaging, Gene Editing, and Biostatistics
- Participate in professional and social networks fostering peer support and inter-laboratory collaboration
- Attend pharmaceutical sciences conference series
Requirements
- Ph.D. degree in Molecular Biology, Cell Culture, Mammalian Cellular/In Vivo Biology, or related field
- Strong expertise in molecular biology, cell culture, mammalian cellular/in vivo biology, and gene transcription/regulation
- Experience with RNA sequencing and LCMS is a plus
