About the role
The Illinois State Archaeological Survey (ISAS), Prairie Research Institute (PRI) at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, is seeking a two-year Post-Doctoral Research Associate in Archaeological Collections and Digital Data Management who will work with the ISAS Curator in Midwestern Archaeology.Responsibilities
- Facilitate access to collections and data for ISAS archaeologists. - Assist in overseeing, organizing, accessioning and supervising the processing, documentation and storage of accessioned materials, written and digital documents, and photographic data. - Possess a Ph.D. in Anthropology, Archaeology, or closely related field. - Specialization in pre-Columbian Archaeology and artifacts of the American Midwest. - Demonstrated knowledge of relational database use and management in a museum or collections management setting. - Full-time benefits eligible position. - Start date will be as soon as possible after the closing date.Requirements
