About the role
This position offers an exciting opportunity to join an integrated and innovative research program that employs team-based research models involving clinicians, research methodologists, residents, and students. This postdoctoral position will be responsible for working with and supporting medical student research and/or residency programs within the OSU system.
Responsibilities
- Work with and support medical student research and/or residency programs within the OSU system.
- Gain significant experience with publishing in peer reviewed medical, public health, and epidemiology journals and writing federal grant applications.
- Deliver didactic lectures related to research conduct, research dissemination, the responsible conduct of research, and other topics as needed.
- Collect and report research metrics of medical students and residents across programs for the Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation and Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education.
- Receive training in manuscript preparation, grant writing, and other aspects of professional development.
Requirements
- Ph.D./Ed.D. social science, computer science, statistics/data analytics, bioinformatics, or biomedical science related disciplines. (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)
- Publishations in peer-reviewed journals are expected.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously is also expected.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills are preferred to facilitate interactions with technicians, faculty, and students.
