Responsibilities

  • Conduct both independent and collaborative research focused on individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities and their families.
  • Demonstrate deep knowledge of current research methodologies and approaches specific to individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities and their families.
  • Lead and manage research projects involving individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities and their families.
  • Employ advanced data collection techniques appropriate to the study of individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities and their families.
  • Contribute to the scholarly literature through peer-reviewed publications and presentations.
  • Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration and support ongoing research initiatives within OSUCDD.

Required Qualifications

  • Doctoral Degree in the area of Human Development and Family Science, Disability Studies, Psychology, Allied Health, or a closely related field of study.
  • Demonstrated interest/experience with community-engaged research alongside individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities and/or their family members/supporters.
  • Professional goal to develop an independent research career in this area.

SALARY AND BENEFITS

Salary will be commensurate with education, experience, qualifications and contingent on available funding. Benefits include comprehensive medical plans.
